Grab a friend and try your hand at Disc golf. 2 x rounds of modified Ambrose doubles is a fun format where people play in pairs and both partners play every throw. The best throw is selected then both players take their next throw from that position. This enables you and your partner to both help each other out and typically get lower scores than you would by yourself. There are two divisions in this Ambrose tournament – Open Men and Mixed doubles. Local rules will be announced at the player meeting on the day. Everyone welcome. Get into it, we know you are going to love it.
Registration on the day at the Queenstown gardens rotunda at 9am.
$20 per player ($40 per pairing)
First round starts at 10.00am. Second round starts approx 1.30pm
Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each division.

Or maybe someone who doesn’t feel quite up to playing with the big boys in the competitive tournaments?
Well the Tucker Beach ‘NO RUSH’ Disc Golf Tournament is designed for those golfers out there who consider themselves as a beginner, novice or recreational player. Men or woman, it doesn’t matter.
This one day (2 x 18 holes) tournament will give you the chance to have a taste of what its like to step up another level from absolute novice to amatuer. Not officially included on the New Zealand disc golf tour, you’ll play alongside some of New Zealands best disc golfers, on the same course, with the same conditions, the same rules.
It’s all about trying to get new people involved with a slightly more competitive side of disc golf. Don’t be afriad. It’s all good fun. Challenge yourself.

PDGA C TIER Event
Queenstown disc golf club is again proud to host its second annual New Zealand disc golf tour tournament for the year.
We are ready to showcase this beautiful part of New Zealand to the world. A solid long game is required but those soft finesse shots should be ready to come out of your bag when required. Post Covid-19 we have decided to allow our awesome sponsors some time to recovery from tough times. So rather than making requests for support by way of providing a multitude of prizes, we are going back to basics, and making this event all about the disc golf. We will still have some prizes though. Don’t fret.
